Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is an attempt to address the manifold problems of modern industrialized agriculture by redefining the relationships between farmer, consumer and the natural, biological systems which comprise a farm. CSA is a type of cooperative in which a consumer commits to a full season of produce months in advance of the start of the growing season.

The Honey Brook Organic Farm CSA program does not require members to work on the farm, although volunteer opportunities exist. CSA also provides the farmer with several practical advantages, including the resources to buy seeds and other supplies before the first spring strawberry ripens in the field, and allows the farmer to focus on growing crops during the growing season instead of fretting over sales and marketing.

Each week of the June to November distribution season, CSA members receive a variety of freshly harvested crops. Since the nutritional value of produce declines significantly while on supermarket shelves, as a CSA member you will enjoy the freshest, most nutritious produce available — harvested daily for you and your family by farm staff. At Honey Brook, only produce that they grow is distributed to their members. They do not bring in produce from other sources.
