This week we are proud to feature one of our Fresh, Local, Organic Farms! Marolda Farms is owned and operated by the husband and wife team of Richard and Sherry Marolda. They have been partners in business and life since they married in 1980. Their son, Richard Jr., carries on their standards of quality and excellence. The Maroldas strive to provide their customers with high-quality produce at a fair price. Everything they sell, from their line of conventionally grown products to their newer line of organics, is grown with care and attention. Rich and Sherry strongly believe in the quality of their produce and use it in their own kitchen. Sherry’s joy is fresh salads made from Marolda’s own produce.
As for the future of the farm, Sherry said, “The Buy Local trend has helped us get our share of the market, but there are lots of ways to go out of business…. The farm next to us went out last year.” I left this farm with no doubt in my mind they would make it, and that the produce we get from Marolda Farms is a true labor of love.
