What’s That Delicious Smell?
Back in the Nature’s Corner kitchen there’s always something going on. Here I caught Gerri, our resident food magician, Lauren, our illustrious produce manager and a very hungry Jude sampling Gerri’s latest creation:Roasted Sunchokes and Sweet Potatoes. This is one hot, hearty dish that really shows off one of Lauren’s best finds Local Sunchokes. These tasty tubers have a distinctive artichoke flavor but actually come from that most familiar of plants, the sunflower. Between these guys and the local fingerling sweet potatoes this dish isn’t just a delight to the palate but is also packed with nutrients-vitamins, minerals, fiber, everything you need for a very happy belly.
