Dr. Oz Addresses GMOs, Monsanto and Your Health.
Recently, Dr. Oz ran aprogram about GMOs. We talk a lot about GMOs here at Nature’s Corner and we’re actively taking a stand against the growing trend of bioengineering in our food supply. Here, Dr. Oz sorts through some of the information floating around this issue and identifies the major players in the genetic engineering industry. In this video he talks to experts and debates the controversy surrounding the future of our food supply. This is an incredibly informative and engaging video. Watch it for yourself. And when you’re done, come on down to the Corner and look for that GMO-free label if you never have before. You’ll see it all over the store.

Organic Giants Cave to Monsanto
In a surprising turn of events last month, the major chains Whole Foods Market, Organic Valley and Stonyfield Farm have bowed to pressure from Monsanto, tacitly giving the USDA the green light on “conditional deregulation” of genentically engineered, pesticide resistant alfalfa. Continue Reading
Something Worth Sharing
This little guy is incredible. I especially love the line about how we can pay the farmers or we can pay the hospitals. If you read yesterday’s post about Paula Deen admitting she’s got diabetes and then turning around and selling a $500 a month diabetes medication, this video should ring out as a breath of fresh air. It’s not all a problem, my friends, there’s hope out there. Sometimes in unlikely, and even small, packages.
GMOs, Monsato and… The Government???
Here’s yet another tip-off from our ever on top of things produce manager, did you know that Michael R. Taylor, the former Vice President for Public Policy at Monsanto is now an advisor to FDA Commissioner Margaret A. Hamburg on food safety? “Wait”, you say, “the same Michael R. Taylor who was once a lawyer/lobbyist for Monsanto and responsible in a large part for helping to pass GMOs into our food supply without testing or labeling?” Yes, the same. Continue Reading
USDA approves more GMOs
This is a chart of worldwide GMO production. As you can clearly see, America is number one in the deregulated production of Genetically Modified crops. Last month the USDA approved even more GMOs. Specifically, Monsanto’s new soybean with a modified fatty-acid profile and a multi-pesticide resistant strain of corn created by Dow. Continue Reading
