Got a Problem? Try Coconut Oil.
Now for a trip down Nature’s Corner “Miracle Aisle”. Coconut Oil has been used for everything from cooking to hair care for centuries. While to those of us in northern climes might think of coconuts as the exclusive property of more exotic regions, fit to surface only in a summer drink or macaroon, the reality is coconuts are gaining ground as a worldwide super-food. Pretty soon the only exotic thing about it will be the rich, slightly fruity taste it imparts to your favorite dishes. Continue Reading

Grass-Fed Angus, Now THAT’S What’s For Dinner!
You carnivores out there know the feeling. Maybe you want to celebrate, maybe you’ve just got a craving but all you want is a steak. A thick, juicy, melt-in-your-mouth steak. Nothing else will do. When you look at what’s in a serving of steak you’ll see why. Continue Reading
BEET Poetry
Yesterday the New York Times ran a piece on beets. It seems this ruddy veggie’s been enjoying a meteoric rise to the top in some of the finest restaurants around the world. Is it its color? Its sweet earthy flavor? Its tender but toothsome bite? It’s easy to wax poetic about beets but we’ll let Tom Robbins do it for us for just a moment: Continue Reading
And the Greatest Aphrodesiac of All… Chocolate
Chocolate is the official gift of Valentine’s Day. It’s more than just a case of “sweets for the sweet” though. Throughout history, chocolate has been regarded as one of the most potent aphrodisiacs known to man (and maybe even more so to woman). From it’s beginnings in Central America where cacao beans were ground, roasted and made into an energizing beverage to the French royal palaces where it first became a confection, chocolate has become a ubiquitous and delicious part of life. Some people claim chocolate is even better than love but does it really make us more, uh, romantic? Continue Reading
Hello, February! How Are Those New Year’s Resolutions Coming?
Okay everyone. Let’s be realistic. We’re a little over a month in to 2012. We made it through the Superbowl and we’ve got Valentine’s Day staring us down. How are those resolutions coming? Yeah. I thought so. Wouldn’t it be nice to feel lighter, cleaner, more energetic? Couldn’t you use a little more pep in your step and a little less of that urge to hibernate? Maybe it’s time you considered ReNew Life Organic Cleanse. Continue Reading
Something Worth Sharing
This little guy is incredible. I especially love the line about how we can pay the farmers or we can pay the hospitals. If you read yesterday’s post about Paula Deen admitting she’s got diabetes and then turning around and selling a $500 a month diabetes medication, this video should ring out as a breath of fresh air. It’s not all a problem, my friends, there’s hope out there. Sometimes in unlikely, and even small, packages.
A Thought-Provoking Lecture
Jamie Oliver talks about how learning to cook healthy food can save children’s lives. There’s not much to say by way of introduction, I think I’ll just let the guy speak for himself. Really, watch this video.

We Have a Right to Know!
Why are we one of the only countries left that doesn’t require the labeling of genetically modified foods? It’s time for a change. If you want to tell the FDA to JUST LABEL IT, click on http://justlabelit.org/ for more information and to sign their petition to the FDA for nothing more than the right to know what’s in our food!
