Savoie Farms is a family-owned and operated farm in Williamstown, NJ that has been certified organic by the New Jersey Department of Agriculture since 2007. They produce a wide variety of heirloom vegetables, including a diverse selection of potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, squashes, herbs, and salad greens.
Meet Regina Gentile, one of our favorite Local Organic farmers. She has been farming since she was around five years old. Learning quickly from her grandmother, who was known throughout Italy for her incredible eggplant, string beans, and not to mention her San Marzano tomatoes.
Regina’s Grandfather wanted to start a business in America so he sold the farm in Italy and lead his family to Freehold, NJ. It was there that Regina would be called on as a child to help her grandmother in the garden- learning early on that Organic is best not only for the crops, but also the environment, and the consumer. This week at Nature’s Corner we are excited to feature Muth Family Farm. Bob and Leda Muth provide us with Local, Fresh, Organic Sungold tomatoes, bi-color corn, red chard, and many other amazing seasonal veggies. July is National Blueberry Month! What better way to celebrate than to feature one of our Fresh, Local, Organic farms. Less than 80 miles from us, Little Buck Organic Farms provides us here at The Corner with the most delicious blueberries we have ever tasted. Located in the heart of the Pine Barrens, Little Buck Organics spends their busy days harvesting the perfect pints of blueberries for The Corner and our customers. Edible New Jersey Magazine wrote this wonderful story about the Condo Family and we are happy to bring this story to you.
It is our great pleasure to feature one of our favorite people, Farmer Frank Leader from Egg Harbor, NJ. He and his dog Rudy (who by the way will ONLY eat organic veggies) are a dynamic duo that provide our store with locally grown, fresh organic produce.
