Looking for Vegan Treats With a Little Panache? Look No Farther Than Papa Ganache

Where do you go when you’re looking for a sweet treat?  For many vegans and wheat-free folks that’s a tough question.  Luckily there’s an easy answer.  It’s Papa Ganache.  Most of you Corner customers are already familiar with the gooey, frosted delights available back by our deli shipped over from this local bakery. We’d like to take some time to highlight exactly why they’re so great.

Papa Ganache is located about 25 miles up the coast from the Corner in Keyport, New Jersey.  That’s where all the magic happens.  By now most of you are familiar with their work; cupcakes like the Drenched Elvis and Snozberry, carrot cakes, mini-tarts and chipwiches.  You probably also know that all these cravable confections are made in a dedicated vegan facility and that a number of Papa Ganache offerings are wheat-free but what you might not know is how this innovative company is giving back to the community.

In addition to owning Papa Ganache, Lisa Siroti, a psychotherapist by trade, also established The Papa Ganache Project, a community program that supports at-risk youth and their families.  Through this program, kids are invited into the bakery where they work with mental health providers to learn and grow, develop work skills and better nutrition and just have a safe place to go.

This is what local is all about-being part of, and giving back to our community.  And supporting them is as easy as picking up a delicious cupcake from our deli counter.  You can’t ask for a sweeter deal.
